Khanate split up so no chance at that, but what about a Stephen O'Malley/Peter Rehberg collaboration? Their album comes out soon (or is already out), I think they'd be a pretty great fit. Maybe you can evenget Drumm into the mix!Door wrote: maybe khanate or sunn+somebody..drumm or something
that'd be rad
And regarding Borbeto, I think they were last-minute replacements in both 05 and 06 (for Sunn O))) and Masonna respectively IIRC) but I just have a soft spot for them I guess. No such thing as too much of a good thing in their case.

Well Plotkin posted something on his website about quitting Khanate because other members lacked dedication to the project, or something of that sort...and a couple of days later O'Malley posted on his site that the band had split up for good. That's about all I heard. They've still got a new record coming out though, just no active band to actually support it or anything.jkudler wrote:what's the story?Fracture wrote:Khanate split up so no chance at that

BUMMER about Chopin... a buddy of mine caught a set of his in Paris and said it was pretty fucking heavy...
I'll totally back anyone saying M. Amacher and Dead C..
heavies I'd love to see:
Mirror reunion or Andrew Chalk solo
Deathprod
I'd probably put more effort into lobbying for more unknown weirdos than candyland folks..
it'd be killer to have
starving weirdos
axolotl
grey skull
God or Bryan Eubanks
The Cherry Point and The Rita (recreating the octopus skull collab)
Thuja or Loren Chasse would be killer
Gerritt
???
looks like I'll be in europe again when this thing is happening tho... It's looking like I'll never get to go to one of these things..

Seen Mirror live before and it's indeed impressive. But Heemann is focussing on solo recordings and the side-project In Camera these days.vegetable mind wrote:these would all be seriously beyond amazing(especially thuja/mirror, that would make my life) but would probably piss off the harshheads too much. but really....make this happenpeteswans wrote: Mirror reunion or Andrew Chalk solo

In Camera would be rad.. LOVE the Chalk solo stuff.. FUCK. want to play with In Camera so bad next time we're in belgium.. GAH..
so.. looks like Chopin CAN travel.......... hmmmmmmm
Thuja live is KILLER.. totally not that quiet.. I dunno if the hashies would "get it," but basically they're a naturalistic Neubauten.. last few times I've seen em, they've been really, really fucking good AND pretty damn loud....
I'm still pulling for Dead C tho... or maybe some other NZ fiends..... Birchville's always good.. and I bet he'd do something nuts.. when we collabed with him in Wellington, he cut the shit out of his face.. that'd go over well..................
