I agree with Nags assessment and I was previously a Jackson fan.
Has anybody seen anything trustworthy on how completely Durant has recovered from his maladies?

Broussard reports that Jordan is thinking about reneging on his verbal commitment to Dallas and returning to the LAC. There is supposedly a meeting scheduled between Jordan and the Clips.

Steph tweets a loving goodbye to DLee, the two longest tenured players on the team:

Durant's free agency next year, early suitors are the Mavs, Clips and DUBS! Oh, man, wouldn't that be something: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2517 ... e-warriors

Clips sign Wesley Johnson. He's an excellent role player and a good replacement for Matt Barnes.

Re: NBA Offseason 2015
that would make the Clips another legit contender, even Paul Pierce is going to HOU to help bring back DeAndre.

Sources: Doc Rivers, Steve Ballmer, Blake Griffin, Chris Paul, Paul Pierce and JJ Redick are converging on Houston to meet with Jordan."

I like Billy Donovan, in spite of his mentor. I hope he does well in the pros.

Bulls keep the band together. Woo.
Noah needs healing springs. That's the only way it works.
Mayor should play McDermott and Snell more. Woo.

Re: NBA Offseason 2015
looks like Jordan back to the Clips, so much of a better fit for him.
so there's a market for Roy Hibbert now, right? Indiana can see what they can get from DAL as opposed to the LAL dump. the Clips could mess up the Lakers again on this (we all remember the nixed Chris Paul trade)...

Re: NBA Offseason 2015
I don't really care. Hibbert Schmibbert. I'm just looking forward to watching the young guys play. Waiting for Kobe to leave so the Lakers can start over and maybe a free agent might come.

And all the blame for the Chris Paul sabotage goes to Devil Stern, the SHF. May he meet an end like Sam Jackson's character in Django Unchained.

I'm not saying that DJ didn't make the best move for himself but he handled it about as poorly as possible.

Re: NBA Offseason 2015
from one perspective, yes, but two counterpoints:Captain Hate wrote:I'm not saying that DJ didn't make the best move for himself but he handled it about as poorly as possible.
1) he forced LAC and Paul specifically into showing him the respect that he (rightly or wrongly) didn't feel he was getting before. the Clippers seemed to take him for granted before he actually signed with DAL, they certainly don't seem to now.
2) his waffling may have really fucked DAL, which weakens LAC's competiion in the West a bit.
so maybe he played it as well as possible? just offering that possible perspective.

I think it's a bad move for him. I think the Clips are a toxic environment.
Summer leagues are going. Las Vegas league opens Friday, Warriors vs Cavaliers. Warriors have Kuzmic -- who won TWO championship rings this year, GS Warriors and D-League Santa Cruz Warriors -- and MacAdoo and D-league Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Kraft, one of last season's last training camp cuts.
League will experiment with quantifying HUISTLE in the summer leagues:http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/13225 ... mer-league

Re: NBA Offseason 2015
Dallas would have been even worse, they have very little on that team anymore. they weren't especially good last year, and Rondo, Ellis, Aminu, Chandler, Amare probably, all gone. their PGs are I believe Barea and Ray Felton and unless Wes 'coming off an Achilles injury' Matthews plays like an All-Star, I don't think they were a playoff team even with Jordan.

I think Jordan should have honored his commitment but he'll have a better chance to win with LA than with Dallas.
Assuming Durant makes a full recovery and stays healthy, his impending free agency is going to dominate NBA talk next year. He can play for almost whomever he wants. I can't see him staying in OKC. Westbrook will challenge career usage records after Durant leaves.

He might leave OKC but I think he's been treated very well there by the organization and fans and has reciprocated with large donations for tornado recovery assistance. If he leaves I hope it's an amicable parting like when Pau Gasol left Memphis. The G Man wrote:Assuming Durant makes a full recovery and stays healthy, his impending free agency is going to dominate NBA talk next year. Am I the only person who finds Chris Broussard very annoying?

Full disclosure: The way he wears his religion on his sleeve annoys me.Captain Hate wrote:Am I the only person who finds Chris Broussard very annoying?
He's unbearable. He was in a small Twitter beef with Bomani Jones the other day over the Russell Wilson celibacy thing. He's a shitty writer, not particularly knowledgeable about the NBA and generally not very smart.
