I've been looking for a particular (seemingly out of print) book but struggling to find a copy - whether PDF or reasonably priced physical copy and it occurred to me that this might be a reasonably common experience on this board.
So I thought I'd start a thread.


Starter:
I've been looking for The Rhythmical Patterns in Gagaku and Bugaku. by Eta Harich Schneider I can't find any physical copies except in academic libraries (not currently in a university) and I can't find a PDF - any suggestions, or does anyone have a PDF?

I think you can even do an interlibrary loan, but not sure how, most likely on the website somehow. Not sure if you have to be a student or not to borrow, but probably. Maybe there's a way around it though.

Unfortunately I doubt I'll convince them to ship it over the atlantic! (I'm in Uk)
I'll be enrolled at Bristol University starting Sep, so if all else fails it might be easier to get hold of then, through interlibrary or whatever.

i thought it was reprinted or scheduled for reprint?

i've owned a copy for more than 10 years but haven't read it yet. from other mcelroy and the extracts i've read elsewhere i anticipate enjoying it a great deal.

Dino Buzzati's Restless Nights for under $40, although I might pay $50.

edit: I found one for $60, but that's still a lot. Might consider a pdf since they are short stories.
