Merzbow, Aqua Necromancer (Alien 8)
Probably my favorite Merzbow album, although the split LP with S.B.O.T.H.I. is close enough. His prog rock credentials come to the fore here, the title (and title track) being nods to Van Der Graaf Generator, just to give one example.

Re: Now Playing
yes... wondering if it'll reach any american distributors. $40 is kinda steep

"Played by Skuggorna och ljuset"
kinda fascinated by this one, it's livelier than the last Skogen disk (diff. line-up), and lacking the upper-upper register sounds that Toshimaru Nakamura provided.. which is a relief. Digging the varied levels of activity throughout, it kinda reminds me of Polwechsel but more compelling (to listen to)

MV&EE - Country Stash

Been awhile since I listened to these guys. Must've stopped following their music after "Green Blues", but will see what I've been missing out on.

Steve Miller Trio meets Lol Coxhill: Miller's Tale
When I bought this ~20 years ago, I listened to it once or twice and found it really boring.
More recently I developped a taste for Lol Coxhill (in particular solo), and so listen with more interest now. I still don't like Eddie Prevost's drumming though.

This made me curious, and the few sections I checked out were indeed fun to listen to.Gil Sansón wrote:Merzbow, Aqua Necromancer (Alien 8)

Jad Fair is a pretty weird dude imo, and I would love to send Daniel Johnston some of my songs.
