Well, looks like its the Madrid derby. Before the draw, I was hoping for a Bayern - RM final, but this one should be ok. It'll be cagey though, both like to counter, and they know each other's side so well.
Add to that the immense pressure on RM to win their 10th, length of time since they've been in the final, and then the possibility of losing it to their crossville rivals?

So Juve wins the scudetto, Chelsea, Atletico and Madrid falter. Interesting.

Adieu, Cottagers.
Re: Futbol 2013-2014
Sorry Roger, but I could see it coming a mile away. Rodgers / Pulis co-managers of the year, imo. I make fun of him all the time, but what he's done with Palace in 5 months is nothing short of amazing.surfer wrote:Beware of Crystal Pulis. Re: Futbol 2013-2014
Lol I think I'll make it dude...But I do find it funny that I totally neglected to acknowledge the threat of Crystal Palace in that post you're citing of mine, because God knows I'm convinced any team can beat them if the defense lapses [case in point].
Didn't catch the game, I was getting reamed by an exam, but it's all the same, after the Chelsea game I knew it was over. The Palace game will maybe serve if nothing else as an impetus to bolster the back line. Like I've said a million times, I'm only bummed for Stevie, and now I'll throw Luis in there as well, because he bleeds for whichever team he plays for [despite trying to force moves over prior transfer windows]. Even with all the hoopla I thought it'd be nice if they won it but knew in my mind's eye it just wasn't going to happen.
I'll be very interested in what next season looks like, more games, more stress, more expectation, and an even more pressing need to bring in quality players who aren't unable to adapt to what the occasion calls for [i.e. defending].
I really do consider this season to be a fantastic campaign, I just don't want it to be a one-off, that's my concern.

Unless Rodgers and/or Suarez leave, I cant imagine this is a one-off for Liverpool.
Spurs look like they are heading towards hiring Pochettino.

I think I like the fishing one a bit better, but this is up there.
Re: Futbol 2013-2014
Heh, I had forgot about that one, little too elaborately choreographed for my tastes. The best part about that one is the panenka itself. And the flopping fish.
I like this one because its simple. Also anything that's "meta" gets extra points in my book.

Man, kinda bummed the season is over, it was a vintage one to be sure. Disappointing? Sure, but huge growth overall and lets pray to God they sign some people that can play a little better than Asspass when called upon. Curious to see what happens to the back line as well. Oh well, details, details.
On to the worst World Cup ever [still mad Zlatan isn't going, that's all]...

Did you watch the Atleti/Barca game? It was a circus...Bummed for Hull though. Luckily the FA cup is fooling no one about how soft Arsenal is.
And Tata steps down at Barca.
Looking forward to seeing if Juve can have a 100point season, crazy.

Football is such a cruel mistress, but, there always has to be a loser I suppose. I guess Atleti will have to settle for being champions of Spain. A tragic way to end a magical season. On to Brazil...

It was a good match on Saturday as far as these things go, bittersweet for Spurs fans to see Bale and Modric win the title, but I was happy for them. Bale showed all of this facets in this one: pace, poor finishing due to an overreliance on his left foot, etc.

Then Levy comes out and says he has to finish in the top 4 OR ELSE!
