Yeah but I laughed.

Just to finish off Mou, what makes him sufferable is his wit and his ability to coin a memorable phrase. In that article, Phillips is right to point out that the incisive part of his riposte is not the word "failure", but the word "specialist", which plays on certain preconceived notions about Wenger as a professor of some archaic discipline (eg "specialist in Medieval Latin"). And the almost decade old response to Wenger complaining about Chelsea's transfer spending: "He is one of these people who is a voyeur - he likes to watch other people." Again, playing off a preconceived unspoken notion of Wenger as a pervy old man. Its like verbal judo. He's a master.

"In this (RM's press room), he’s the fucking chief, the fucking man, the person who knows everything about the world and I don’t want to compete with him at all. It’s a type of game I’m not going to play because I don’t know how. I won’t justify my words. If Barcelona want someone who competes with that, then they should look for another manager." - Pep Guardiola

"I learned long ago, never to wrestle with a pig. You both get dirty, and besides, the pig likes it." - George Bernard Shaw

The more I think about it, I think I'd take Zlatan soundbites over Mou.

Asked by reporter what he got his partner for her birthday: "Nothing, she already has Zlatan."

Classic.

What do you think of Spurs' chance to grab the Europa League trophy? Kinda hope Juve win it since it's in Torino but then again, don't really care either.

I dig Zlatan. He'd be great with Dortmund or Spurs, I tell you what.

Zilch. I think they'll lose to Benfica in the next round. But it would be about the Spursiest thing ever to win the thing the year before the auto UCL bid goes into effect.

Of course when LFC has a chance to go third it's against a team that they struggle with. Lets see what happens.

Lucky bounce there, but Suarez doesn't miss his chances. Saints have played well so far. Reds have a chance to go 2nd if they win, though City have two games in hand.

Yeah I took City's two games in hand when making the "potential third place" comment cause I assume City will win those games. But whatever, I'll take the second place feel while Reds are there lol.

Lucky bounce indeed but the finish was clinical so I'd still rate it as a decent goal. Solid win overall, if a bit flattering. I have to say I'm quite amazed that they didn't leak one or two goals but I'm not complaining either.

So between Atletico vs Real and Juve vs Milan, it was a fantastic day. Great games.

Watched the second half of the Milan derby, I loved when Simeone's fat assistant went apeshit after the totally deserved Costa yellow for simulation. Took 6 guys to barely hold him back. Good match, last ten minutes were pretty exciting. Modric and Bale, two of my favorite players.

Spurs scrape together a win against Team Tan, and wouldnt you know, Soldado scores a fairly nice goal, good ball control and confident finish. Never seen a bigger smile on a guy.

Also that Benteke chest-scissor kick goal is one of the best of the year. Out of nothing.

How do you call that in English?

Lyon is not making too good in L1, but I hope we can have our revenge against Tottenham in the Europa League, the last game that we lost in the competition was last year at White Hart Lane.

a Rabona, or rabona cross.

You mean theoretically after Tottenham beats Benfica, and Lyon beats Plzen? Tottenham's not getting past Benfica imo Ben, our March fixture list is pretty brutal and is going to take a toll I think:

Chelsea away
Benfica home
Arsenal home
Benfica away
Southhampton home
Liverpool away

That is pretty tough, with the North London derby sandwiched between mid-week Europe trips. I just dont think this squad has it in them to get more than a few results, if any really.

I know he can be a bit pouty, and not always show up. But outside of Suarez, the league MVP imo.

I think he's going to be a monster next year.

I would argue only that he's already a monster this year, I mean he has single-handedly won games for Chelsea this season as it is.

But yes, after Suarez, he's the one I'd be looking to get on my team.

Lots of angry Spurs fans this weekend. I thought Sherwood got the tactics right, and the team outplayed Chelsea for the first 60 minutes. (After the first minute, Hazard was a non-factor) That's what leaves such a bad taste. Against 'pool and City, and Arsenal, we were outplayed. I didnt think we were outplayed on Saturday, Vertonghen slipped and panicked, the penalty and sending off in my honest objective opinion was a poor call. I just didnt see it. and then the worse part which Tim addresses in his post-match remarks was the capitulation after the red. Maybe the game was lost but you dont give up like that. This season really has been one nightmare after another. 7 players bought with the Bale money, none started on Saturday (2 injured iirc, 5 not picked). But if it seems bad now, wait until the circular firing squad you'll see after we lose to Arsenal at WHL.

Also, the Latics beat City for the second time in a year in the FA Cup. But Spurs somehow cant manage a single goal, shipping 11 in two matches against MC.
