i've been listening to this. a little disappointed in its scope, as it seems like pretty traditional sound studies/cultural listening stuff. but i'll continue to check it out. in any case, it's been useful for teaching purposes...

I've only caught a couple of these so far but would agree with anasara - a perfectly decent documentary series which unfortunately suffers from its pretty uninspired approach. It also bears similarities to Hillel Schwartz's huge book 'Making Noise: from babel to the big bang and beyond', although it's obviously far smaller in scope (the book is overly long at 900+ pages!).
