The two half-hour long tracks on ‘The Resurfacing of an Atavistic Trait’ were recorded over the course of two live concerts, held in Berlin during the Not Applicable Artists Festival 2011; they are not improvisations, but planned traverses that are nonetheless filled with the chance occurrences that populate performance environments.

on FB Kurt Liedwart (Mikroton) says: it seems to me that the street date of a huge 3 x cd echtzeitmusik compilation becomes clear (february-march 2012). a huge audio companion to highly critically acclaimed echtzeitmusik book. i don't want to reveal everything at the moment i'd rather shed a bit of light saying that it comprises many projects of involved musicians which number is 70.

The lack of Mzui in there is very disappointing, the matchbox does not make up for it.

Young Jeezy’s Thug Motivation 103: Hustlerz Ambition drops December 20th.

Most likely too late for year end lists, but certainly one I'm most looking forward to.

BSC - The Manual

[rainey]

^^^ Yes, an under-the-radar pre-order. Especially good if you want to make sure you get a hardcover version. More official announcement coming soon.

(P.S. The album streams at 128kbps. The lossless version is considerably nicer...)

[Notice Recordings]

John Cage - Etudes Australes
Sabine Liebner, piano
Wergo 4CDs

Grete Sultan, rec 1978-1982 (169'40)
Steffen Schleiermacher, rec 2001 (204'00")
Sabine Liebner, rec 2011 (260'54")

Liebner's is 90 min longer than Sultan's!!!

That's really, really exciting. Didn't think Wergo was doing any John Cage this year. Really enjoyed the Dream and Etudes Boreales releases last year.
