Teenage Jesus and the Jerks (+ 8-eyed Spy): Shut up and bleed

I have only a bunch of "classic" No Wave-CDs - for instance Branca and Chatham still are missing entirely - but so far I find Teenage Jesus and the Jerks by far the most attractive of those bands I know.

love that one. It and Acustica are by some way my favourite Kagel recordings

awesome!
any info on this one? it can be streamed here

…also awesome is the latest from Ernesto Rodrigues, "Le beau déviant" on Creative Sources, with Heddy Boubaker (sax) and Abdul Moimême (prepared guitar). Amongst my favorites from Rodrigues, alongside Ficta and Dorsal he recorded a while back with Paiuk, Mota et. al.

Bedouin, Abdul Moimeme's Khettahu [CS] is well worth your time.

would also like to know more on Yoshihide & Sugimoto- it looks like an mp3 only release of an older material and it seems it is on offer by french label Rectangle which doesn't operate for yeatrs now but was run by french guitar player Noel Akchote

I thought Quentin Rollet was the main guy and Noel was more of a creative influence, but I'm not positive.

I don't see much info for this release on the web, my memory is that it maybe came out very briefly on vinyl, but maybe got pulled very quickly? I think I have a CD-R burn of it somewhere.

this is a total guess and may possibly be totally wrong, but when Otomo first started playing guitar, he wasn't very happy with the recordings for a while (which is why this: http://www.japanimprov.com/indies/amoeb ... live1.html is an edition of 50). even as late as 2002 for Time Travel, Gunter and I had to convince him to leave the two tracks with him on guitar on the record, he wanted to drop them. so maybe that is why this never circulated much?

I only came across this during the week when I noticed a fairly sizeable batch of Rectangle/Believe Digital releases becoming available on emusic. There is not a lot of information on this title, but as far as I can ascertain, the original recording was made in Tokyo in 2000 and may have surfaced as an EP at that time for a short period.
So it's Otomo and Taku both on acoustic guitars and a pretty excellent release I think. Actually quite 'busy'. Artwork is by Noel Akchote. 31 mins.
