Yeah, I've been wondering about that phrase all day myself... but it is utterly pleasant! It's not the most sonically rich release in the history of electronic music but it is nice and I definitely enjoyed listening to it.

if you liked the ErstPop, get this as well, I'm into track 6 of the first listen and I'm already utterly convinced, so beautiful. until now it seems a bit more dynamic, maybe due to some clearer rhythms in some parts, dunno.

Whitehorse - Progression

Four years ago, this australian "sludge / doom / insert-the-subgenre-you-want-here" band released a double album on 20 Buck Spin, that I enjoyed a lot. This year, they're back with this new album, pretty solid too !

A couple of years ago, I went for a walk, for Phillip Guston playing in a mp3 player. The feet led me to an old quarter, and in some passage in the music, there were very soft and gently bell sounds alone -no piano, no flute-, accompanied by the bell sound from a nearby church in the old quarter.

Ben Gwilliam & Jason Zeh – Brombron 16: Dots (Korm Plastics)

First listen to this and it sounds very promising... also had this on last night and was thoroughly enjoying it:

Ben Gwilliam & Michael Vorfeld - Lauste (Entr'acte)

These two along with his earlier collaborations with Lee Patterson make Mr Gwilliam a very clever, talented and interesting musician!
