Re: kevin drumm
I got CD-Rs that seem to have previously been used to store some Numbers episode and some other OST, at least they could have changed the labels....MRS wrote:Well the packaging couldn't be more diy

Mine is "DJ Shah Feat. Adrina Therpe - Back to You".... and the packaging (edit: actually I won't even called it a packaging) is the most downright horrible piece of shit €17 I've ever paid for... It's basically 2 hand-written CDR wrapped/folded in a torn-out page from a magazine!! I just copy the audio files into my computer and dumped the whole thing aside!

then resell it for double on discogs

Heh, NO! I don't agree with selling things at Double/Higher price for my own benefits to begin with... I only blame myself for jumping on it without really looking into the imprint aesthetic of presenting their releases, I don't resent or feel tricked into purchasing this in anyway really... on second thought, €17 pp. is not excatly on the high side I supposed! I didn't even realized it was in CDR format (which I usually just ignore) after I make the Payment!jkudler wrote:then resell it for double on discogs
What I meant to say is that it actually looks better having the .aiff in iTunes than the psychical objects itself : ) If you are going to pay €30+ for it I'd advice you'd better off settled for a Lossless download or something...
Anyway, I still thank Kevin & KSV for making the materials available, I do enjoy a good portion of it : )
Re: kevin drumm
i'm perfectly happy with the packaging.

I'm with Mark. I think my cdrs (labeled respectively: "The Raveonettes - Wishing You A Rave Christmas" and "UFO Hunters S01E10") are pretty awesome. If you don't want to keep your copy, I bet there are a lot of people out there who would get some great amusement from the physical object.

Re: kevin drumm
keep in mind that these do not appear to be cd-rws. the labels are unique and deliberate, not ready-made.

Re: kevin drumm
i'd like to say that the packaging is awesome, and i laughed my ass off when i saw my cds.
i'm not entirely sure who was expecting an 'edition of 19' pro-pressed cd in a handsome digipak.

Well, even considering that the thing with the labels is deliberate, i still think they could have done something way cooler with the packaging - say, American Tapes for example, do limited runs of 50 and the stuff i have from them is almost always great.undo wrote: i'm not entirely sure who was expecting an 'edition of 19' pro-pressed cd in a handsome digipak.
Not that i'm planning to sell my copy, or that i wouldn't buy it even knowing how the packaging would turn out (as obviously what interests me most is the content of the cds), i just kind of hoped it would be better.
Re: kevin drumm
my first disc is called "The Universe S2E14". which is in fact an episode entitled 'Nebulas'. maybe there's a code in there somewhere?
or an interesting reproduction of tom smith's dvd collection...

Mine are Battlestar Galactica Revealed OST and Numbers S04E14.

Re: kevin drumm
So other than how it looks, what's the opinion on how it stands up as an album or whatever...
Re: kevin drumm
i've been listening in the car, which makes for good driving but questionable ability to evaluate. been enjoying it, though.

Re: kevin drumm
mine are a CSI episode and a mariah carey album. i'll sell it for $100.
the discs contain some top-notch shit though. diverse material, splattery, jumping around, not too far in one of his directions (ambient, harsh wall, improv) either.
