Been playing a hard to find disc of Shin'ichi with Otomo Yoshihide - 'Guitar Duo x Solo'. Pretty good, sparse and menacing at the same time.

that's on his label called O-Musubi, it comprises eight untitled tracks. he makes very clear guitar tones. i really admire his virtuosity.

I've had a little bit of a hard time with Marble Lobbies in the past, it didn't seem to have the same....intensity, for lack of a better word, as the other work of his that I've heard. This afternoon though, I listened to it at twice the volume I usually do, and was staggered with how much the record expanded for me. I felt myself almost physically involved in the tape-warble wooziness, on the rocky ship rather than just watching it from on the shore, in a good way.
