actually the difference between 1998 and 2001 is important in this context, so it's worth pointing out. if you want to make it personal, take it elsewhere, I'm talking about music.

You've heard their Halflings material too I assume? Such awesome precision. The Rockaway boys never disappoint.

I haven't checked out Jeremy's solo "Teeny Bopper" recordings yet but the set he dropped in his basement last year was some of the most bizarrely and uncomfortably bright and perky noise I have ever experienced.

the whole plethora of short lived halflings related groups never seem to disappoint either... I remember hearing only rumors of a one time show up at purchase involving the most stifling, crushing sub bass anyone had ever heard.

yeah. it's kind of amazing. That's what makes Yellow Tears hold up too. They keep working as this tightly rehearsed unit. Physical/visual cues flying everywhere, no room at all for loosely improvised elements. On point and in sync beat by beat by beat.
