I have an original copy of John Cage's Sonatas and Interludes for Prepared Piano, the original vinyl Dial Records release, Dial 19 and 20, 2 lp set.

It's from a school library, and has tape binding. The records are in fair condition and definitely look playable. Not by any means in great shape, so not for a collector, but it should be a nice listenable copy. Wondering if anyone here is interested.

Recorded (mono) in 1950 in the Studios of WOR in New York City.
This is the original two-record release of Maro Ajemian's famous interpretation of the Sonatas and Interludes. In 1965 it was re-released on CRI SD 199 (LP). Also released on LP's Harmonia Mundi HMO 34730 and Harmonia Mundi HM 730 (1980?).
In 1995 released on CD: CRI 700
Currently available on CD: él records ACMEM88CD

Metamkine also list the Hibari CDR, claiming that these are the last copies. The catalogue number is hibari cdr5, but I guess this is the disc you are looking for.

My previous experience with Metamkine has been good - they always could deliver what is listed on their site.

I've said it a thousand times, Verge blows. They never have what they list in stock and it's been that way for a long time. Couldn't agree more with Martin re: Metamkine, one of the best stops for difficult to find stuff even if it costs you an extra few bucks.

And yes, Metamkine p&p is comparatively high, yet I place orders there every now and then. Happened just ten minutes ago, hopefully they can deliver the Paiuk/Kahn CD on Cut which seemingly is about to disappear from more and more mail order lists...

pretty sure Verge is in the process of going out of business, they sent a bulk mail out to all overseas labels about returning their stock recently.

Cut discs evidently got given to the individual musicians when Jason stopped the label, so if there's something you can't find, that's what I'd try.

judging by the name of the sale email Daniel sent out yesterday - Bang or Whimper - and the Beckett quote about failing at the end of it, you are probably right. Too bad...I know a lot of people have issues with them, but as a canadian, it's nice having a company here so I don't have to worry about duty, higher shipping (too many US companies want to charge me as much as they would someone in Zimbabwe!), etc.

I was wondering if anyone has on its hard disk, the album "Pita AU versions".
it was available for free on the faslch site back in 2004 : some nice reworking of the Acid udon tracks. I lost the tracks in a hard disk crash & never found them again. Could anyone please upload the tunes somewhere ?
