hmmm it could be because it's in Christoph's book. I want to know more about the DVD for sure. Lelasi/Stelzer is super great.

'i assume that the share of sounds are about 50/50 here, but what if Noid made most of the sounds and Unami just plucked strings a few times throughout? it would be a record very much in fitting with Unami's recent pallet, only with the trademark sounds not actually played by Unami.'

i really love that dvd - there is precious little visual documentation and recorded info about this area of music (aside from ad hoc youtubings). great thing to show people - i think it helped my girlfriend find this stuff a bit less impenetrable. i should go back and read some of the essays again too. . .

I read and heard a lot about The Slits, and started today to delve a little into their stuff by listening to some live concerts first.
Not that I heard that much classic punk, but the recordings from 77 & 78 are the most joyful and refreshing punk I heard so far. Some lovely lovely moments and tracks there.
Judging from a 79-concert recording, something got lost when the original drummer was replaced.
I understand Cut already delves into dub+reggae, so the early BBC-recordings might be the thing I need next.
