Like, I imagine, a fair few others here. I'm currently making my way through the Cathnor Vignettes:

Having only heard Adam Sonderberg in Haptic and Dropp Ensemble on recent(ish) recordings and not knowing at all who does what in those groupings I was surprised by the slightness and spikiness of Say No. The Wastell has got an unfussy beauty much like the high points of his solo tam-tam material. I'm particularly taken with the opening three or so minutes of Egg Fry#2 before any familiar sounds come in (since hearing about this release I have been paying particular attention when I deep fry tofu at home) I'm guessing it's the sound of air escaping through liquid egg that I'm drawn to. Roman Tics is my favourite so far though.

indeed. itunes store alone has over 100 discs(!)
if only i could search that russian site

Aah, yes... a brilliant record. Just needs to be released on CD! This was the beginning of Neil becoming very, very interesting indeed. Lovely.

It needs to be released on CD indeed. But, according to what is said over the net, that's not going to happen in the near future.

I'm currently listening to a vinyl rip to mp3, but I've just downloaded what appears to be a pre-re-release version that got to be test pressed when the others albums of that time (On the Beach, etc) got released on CD properly. You can download it from here.

Wow, nice... thanks! I've just got a bootleg version that's obviously ripped from someone's vinyl copy and it's quite quiet so I'll definitely pick that up later when I'm at home.
