Probably inappropriate, but that kid Adenhart pitched really well last night, this might have been his breakthrough year in the majors . . . . . so sad

Two people other than Nick also died, one was an Angels employee as well.
Andrew Thomas Gallo, 22, of Riverside will face charges of manslaughter, felony driving under the influence and hit-and-run, he said.
The game tonight has been cancelled thankfully.

That was a really fun series to watch. Lots of great pitching from both Sox and Royals throughout. 3 games, 9 total runs.

May not have as much to do with the "great pitching" as you thought...

Nice. Always nice to see great pitchers getting back to full strength (as long as they don't play for Boston).

A's with another 15 hits last night, all singles. That's 31 hits in two nights, all but four singles. Angels made some really dumb mental mistakes last night that helped us get the opportunity for the comeback. While its not a great lineup, at least this year, more than almost any year in recent memory, when A's player X comes to the plate, I have a feeling "we could do something here". There arent any dead spots. Only Chavez really fills me with dread. (and Cabrera has been meh, but then I remember at least its not Crosby) Everyone else has had good approaches and decent ABs. Lots of trying to go the other way, not swinging for the fences. We will eventually need to see more power, but hopefully that will come by itself.

Of course not.

Neither of those teams can hit.

Kris Benson's return to MLB didnt go as planned. At least he has soft "pillows" to cry on.

hahaha, Coco Crisp's arm is the worst I've ever seen in the outfield. he makes Damon look like Andre Dawson. the play I'm specifically talking about is the Swisher RBI double to make it 3-1 today, check out his throw in from the warning track.

That was awesome. Almost a much as Swisher's highlight reel play in right and the throw to nowhere he followed it with.

hehe, yeah, that was awful too, but at least he has the excuse of losing the ball in the sun somewhat. no excuse for the throw, though, agreed.

there's the upside of Krazy Kyle, striking out the 2/3/4 hitters easily.

Yeah, I was never crazy about his signing to begin with. Taking Teahen out of the outfield to put Crisp in it is a serious downgrade defensively.

What a wonderful day for me.

Fat Sidney, followed up with the pitcher I love to hate.

*sigh*

Oh well, Gordon's play earlier in the game made it worth sitting through. He's improved dramatically there since his rookie season. Now, if they could just teach him how to hit...
