Didn't see it anywhere. Friend of mine has very sparse email contact with Mr. Nilssen-Love. Will find out for you.
Also the The Thing and Trio OFFONOFF are both touring consecutively in US April/May.

Sunday, January 25th - 8:00 PM
ARS NOVA WORKSHOP:
Sten Sandell Trio featuring:

Sten Sandell, piano
Johan Berthling, double bass
Paal Nilssen-Love, drums and percussion

Admission $12 FREE for PAA Members

Buy tickets directly through Ars Nova Workshop, Click here

There you go. Hey we're thinking about coming up there from the south. Would you recommend buying tickets in advance? I don't have any idea what kind of crowd this kind of stuff brings in Philly or how big the space is etc, but I figure it might be safe if there's a considerable effort to be made.

Wish I could find more online but according to a friend the aegis of the documentary speaks to the moribund state of the gospel quartet, in situ. Easy to sneak a pint of bumpyface into this place to boot.

dresser is an important downtown guy (who mostly lives in cali these days, I think), and who was a member of braxton's classic nineties quartet (w/ marilyn crispell and gerry hemingway), who collectively and individually blew my mind when I saw them front row at the old knitting factory in the early nineties. I had no idea about extended technique and to see it done on four different instruments simultaneously was really shocking, definitely an inspirational night in my musical education.

Should anyone attend the Le Quan Ninh/Jaki Liebezeit concert in Koln on January 14th, please give a report.

Experimental music should be something that suggests a way of organizing your thinking, your attitude toward the world, which suggests that the world could be different.
