Yikes. No chance folks at Modern music speak English? of course, with a generic name like Modern Music, google is going to be useless.... I haven't seen one on discogs or eBay in the year or so i been looking.

Iffin you gots one to sell or see one, give a shout my way.
Still hoping to find a copy of this. Had one slip through my fingers and now seems rarer than hen's teeth.
I think there's a second hand copy at a store near me.
I'll check if you like.

The online catalogues of No Man's Land (Berlin) and JazzHausMusik (Cologne) still list the SSSD CD. So maybe not so OOP after all?

I'll check those, but i am not so optimistic. Every time i find someone who still has it listed and order it, i get a note saying that it is OOP and a refund. Sound323 had it listed until a few months ago. I also attempted to order it from other music and fandango, to no avail.

It is grob which i think is German for "out of print" </wink>

Kahil El'Zabar with Lester Bowie and Malachi Favors
The Ritual (Magg Zelma) & Sacred Love

not sure if anyone is looking at this area, but these two are awesome and are pretty good value, new at amzn (being re-released by a label that makes no sense at all!)

check them out while they last at:
http://www.amazon.com/Sacred-Love-Kahil ... 945&sr=1-1
and
http://www.amazon.com/Magg-Zelma-Ritual ... 112&sr=8-3

edit: i bumped into these as I was desperately searching for "Art Ensemble 1967/68" which on amzn goes for $299!!!

I have been searching for a COPY OF VOLUME 2 OF TOSHIYA TSUNodas extract from field recordings archive series for years. I would buy A copy if anyone knew of one in existence, or if someone would make me a cdr i would be really happy.

I have a copy of absinth I could burn for you if your not looking for all the packaging, we could do a trade for a burn of something cool from your colection.

saltwatersnow & Charon:

Thanks very much for the rip/burn offers.

I'll spend a bit more time in the hunt and take you up on your kind offer(s) if the original article is not to be found.

PS: I sent an e-mail to GROB asking if I could get a copy directly from them. Response? No response. Gotta love it.

FWIW, I just listened to Absinth again recently, and still think that it's a missed opportunity and not very exciting, much less than the potential sum of its parts.
