their set was good but too short (17 minutes, I believe). nicely subdued, richard sounding like taku unami's prize pupil, both sensitive to sound selection and interacting interestingly. it's a good duo, hopefully they record and play more.

thanks for the info. So anyone else have any reports on this festival? The other days perhaps? Really curious how the Tandem Electrics+Bonnie Jones show went.

I was pretty happy with our set. Maybe coulda been longer but we only planned on playing around 20 mins. We played a few times at richards house and made some recordings, some of which i think might be cool. Had a real good time out there no doubt. tandem and bonnie were great. I had pretty high expectations and wasn't let down. Interesting structure and really great sounds from all of them. Didn't sound like anybody was hiding which is sorta easy to do in trios. Really good set.

Really had fun out there, thanks to richard for inviting me out and his family for the hospitality, ryan for taking me around brooklyn and queens to the cumbia shop, jon for smoking me out before my set and taking me out to lunch, reed for letting me crash at his pad and get super drunk and talk about negative approach, bryan and andrew for letting me play in the fest, eric for hooking us up with the radio show, and linden for letting me fuck him up in pool. Real cool city.

Great festival. Thanks Bryan and Andrew for putting it on and inviting me, I had a fantastic time both musically and personally. It was a real pleasure both to continue working with Andrew on bassy stuff, and to play with Bonnie and Jonathan for the first time.
