There's no need to exclude them from discussions about music (that would leave the history of opera in a very unfortunate position). It's just that they don't cut it in any kind of assessment of those pieces. It appears to me that you're doing them a disservice by considering them that way (that is, in such abstract terms.)scrawny git wrote: actually fear, yes I was, and I don't see why such terms should be excluded from dialogue about music (though I had just finished watching Sleepy Hollow when I wrote that).

Thurston Moore band live in Washington DC 29/9/07
really enjoying this, prompted me to buy the lp. I trust its as good as this though here 2nd guitarist is Chris Brocaw and bassist is Matt Heyner whereas on lp its J & Thurston (doubling instrument so playing acoustic guitar & bass). Lydia Lunch said at the time of In Limbo that she always liked Thurston's bassplaying. I haven't heard a great deal so can't comment.
Can say this live set's very good.

2000AD once coopted that image sans maidens for an ABC Warriors story. Anybody see it? I'm not sure if I'd still have the issue it was in.free math wrote:

finally found a good rip of the japanese release of this. the sound is great.
They als once turned DExter the gunshark into NIck Cave for one panel back in the mid 90s. Would love to find that but think that's almost definitely a long lost copy.

I give this one regular spins as well. I'll have to look into the See Mi Yah disc if it's comparable to w/ the artists.p-coli wrote:This is a good one. Have you heard the See Mi Yah disc - strong on the vocals, with a pretty subtle & minimal mix. One of my favorites of the Rhythm & Sound reggae releases.grisha wrote:
