i think this is a pretty good album of stuff i don't much care about. i guess the best term i could come up with is disco-dub? the beats are neat, but designed for the dancefloor and sitting in my chair i'm just getting bored by them.

Yeah the Ramalho album is good, though I need to go back to it again for another listen. A lot of the bands on that psychedelic thread that got mentioned were awesome. I really liked listening to International Harvester.

Very intense aural adventure

yeah i love this too, i heard the material from this album was a dusty 16mm film recorded from a film projector or something, really interesting and I have the same feeling which sounded like an adventure for this album as well! earth sound or something i don't know how to describe, I bought it about three years ago Die Stadt label, don't know if it's still in print.

yeah, I'm really looking forward to getting Person Pitch on vinyl, not as much because of the artwork, but more because I think it's just going to be a great album to have on vinyl.

I believe the new SOTL is already out on vinyl, isn't it? I seem to remember seeing it on Mimaroglu anyway. (maybe I'm misinterpreting your "what the hell is up with that?")

yes! i saw battles a little while back, and i've been in the middle of a huge 'all things ian williams' phase. 'under thunder...' is very near the top of my list for the projects he's been involved with (along with 'what burns never returns' and 'mirrored'), a big leap from the first storm and stress record, which i still really like as well...
