Current 93 - All the Pretty Little Horses (The Inmost Light)

With the new re-release of this trilogy I decided to revisit it.

Man, some of these songs are so annoying. But then they come next to great tracks like The Bloodbells Chime Calling for Vanished Faces II and, of course the All the Pretty Little Horses with Nick Cave.

A lot of my time and money was invested in Current 93 for awhile. I'm not really sure if it was worth it.

There's something about this that sounds too clean to be straight traditional. The first lp sounded like somebody outside the tradition having heard Pentangle and trying to apply the idea to Irish trad material.
I like it a lot though.
Got it in torrent form from dime. A source I'm using quite a bit these days. To the extent that I'm begginning to worry about my server upping my deal to a higher more expensive category.
