Well, I'll kick this off...

I have a few things already released but the project I'm working on just now is proving to be a bit difficult... Lots of people seem to like it, but no-one seems to know what to do with it.

For some background, every sound on these MP3s is made from a sampled sound of some sort; vocals, background sound from films, electronic interference...whatever I can get my hands on that sounds interesting. Then I mangle it and torture it until it turns into something else.

I quite like it.

I should note that there is an album's worth of material hanging around, one track of which is the first downloadable track above.

The dust created by whacking the living hell out of the living room armchairs causes the sessions to be terminated after an hour. Two of the group suffer severe allergy attacks, one suffers minor injuries to the hands. An antique crystal decanter suffers slight chipping after being hit too hard with a tin opener.

A straight documentation recording of a sound sculpture completed a few months ago. The tape plays and records the sound continuously. No effects used, recorded with four mics (two condenser, two piezo). I am pretty happy with this, even if I did have to get some help on the tunings.

Love your sound sculptures git. Are these set up in galleries and constructed to play continuously or for a small period of time? I love the visual aesthetic of the piece as well. Great work.

The ideal is continuous play. This one has been shown twice (at college), Luckily on both occasions it kept going for the whole day, though some running maintenance is necessary (replacing the splice-tape, re-rosining the tape).

In this project, I used a variety of sound sources and techniques. The recording was put together on my laptop, edited from hours of noise improvisations, tape manipulations, digital sound processing and the odd odd recorded guitar, voice or synthesizer. I suppose I would describe it as a noise project mostly, although there are elements of lowercase improv, noise rock and ambient music in there as well. Overall, I think the pieces have a cinematic feeling...

This project is far more improvised than the project above and involves several people. There has been been some minimal planning (pre-arranged and selected samples, occasionally choosing a key or the odd chord change) but it is mostly improvised, with most of the sequencing and electronic manipulation done in real time. Other instruments feature prominently, including violin, banjo, bass, pedal feedback and singing saw...

I've created a new MySpace, please see my signature.

I used to use guitar and pedals but went laptop when I moved abroad. I spent a couple of years relearning what I did and didn't want to do and how to achieve it. These are the first tracks I'm satisfied with enough to make public.
I like the EP format, the fact that MySpace only lets you put up four tracks at a time. I'm hoping to post four different tracks in a few months. In the meantime please feel free to download.

4 new instrumental electronic tracks i am working on. Taken together, they don't fall into a particular style or genre, but I found their sound similar nonetheless.

The 1st track sounds like a zombie movie soundtrack.

The 2nd track starts off kind of pretty and stately, gets pretty rhythmic and more tense in feel, before softening up at the end into some rhythmic ambience.

The 3rd track is a short digital noise track with ambient and rhythmic aspects. It has a surging and tense feeling.

The 4th track is my personal take on minimal techno...kind of...

You should say to the people that does not know what to do with certain kind of music to do exactly the same thing that they would do with the kind of music that they do know what to do.
