Many years ago a kind and generous person shared with the world "over 50 old 78rpm records with 1930's-1950's Arabic Pop and Swing music". Unlike many nice corners of the internet that have disappeared since the time of 56k modems, this one is still where it was then: http://music.cdbpdx.com/ArabicMusic/
I've been driving around frantically blasting this track and also some other ones by Boldy James, off his My First Chemistry Set album which is Tre good as well.
Going to pick this up today asap when I have the funds: https://criminalatl.com/UPC/642623102022
William Parker 10 disc release "Migrations of Silence Into and Out of the Tone World".
There's a sampler of all the material on Spotify now, yay.
trying to remember the name of some japanese composer who wrote some neobaroque music and was possibly in impro or in electro before. Could someone help me?
Hi! Remember moi? This forum was pretty cool back then. Does anyone view/post anymore? I've moved on primarily to HIPINION, but would love to see an IHM revival.
i'm listening to ormens väg by monokultur. it's very good, thanks for asking. it's from 2021, though, back when that gothenburg scene was pretty exciting. i find that this season's output is mostly underwhelming, new treasury of puppies is meh, the blod pilgrimssanger has totally unfiltered church camp romanticism, so is their moment already over? tune in next season when we continue this thread.
