INSTAL is an experimental festival of experimental music: and a leading one in Europe. It is a festival of ideas, and of radical experiments in music, performance, literature and art, in Improvisation, Noise, Conceptual Music, Abject Music, Field Recording, Radiophonic art, Absolute Computer Music, Activism, Collective Learning…..
Justification.
Music is about more than just music.
In fact, music is never just about music: it is always the product of its wider situation.
Some musics reinforce the status quo. Other musics try to affect the collective conditions of existence. We’re interested in the latter: musics that at least try to develop useful ways of acting and thinking outside today’s dominant ideologies.
Through performance and discussion, INSTAL 10 will attempt to address itself to these and consecutive matters. It will be more productive if you join us.
