Looks like good Andy showed up today. He made some outrageouly tight and beautifully located throws in the first quarter today.

And so far it looks as though Pagano finally got the memo entitled Trent Richardson: How To Keep Him From Fucking You Over Any Further.

Even good Andy couldn't overcome all those injuries.

Bengals WRs fall off the cliff sharply after Green and Sanu. So when Sanu is your number one, it gets ugly fast. And Gresham is one hell of a secure outlet.

Green and Gresham out was enormous.

In this second game, Romo and his center are completely shitting the bed. They have to make the proper check offs. They didn't in the first half, and that led to free runners almost every snap.

If they don't make the proper corrections during haltime, they're fucked.

Fucking flags killed the Lions down the stretch.

How 'bout that picked-up flag? Ever seen that in 50 years of watching football? I haven't.

Rooting hard for GB to beat Dallas next round.

Absolutely atrocious, and clearly game-changing. What's worse is that the flagrant home-cooking teed up the soul-shuddering sight of Chris Christie bouncing gleefully in Jerruh's arms at the end. Brutal national snapshot.

How does Dez coming on the field without a helmet to argue with the zebras not get an unsportsmanlike conduct flag? Well run league imo.

Exactly, automatic 15 yards and a first.

I'll go further. If Dallas plays NE in the Super Bowl, I'm rooting for the Patriots.

The picked up flag made no sense and Steve is right about Dez, should have been 15 on him.

Caldwell is an idiot, though for calling TO on fourth and one and then not going for it.

I've been able to keep the NFL at the periphery of my life this year. Watched the second half of Detroit-Dallas and was reminded why it's probably a waste of my time to pay attention.

I'll go you one better. I'll boycott the thing and root for some sort of natural disaster.

Picked up flag?

I guess I slept through that one.

Or was it a bad dream?

Wynton and I both couldn't figure that one out.

Goodellspeak league at its best.

Sorry, Naggz...

Good game, either way...

Referee Pete Morelli announced the penalty, which would have given the Lions a first down, but moments later changed the call to no penalty. The Lions lined up on fourth down but their attempt to draw the Cowboys offside failed and they eventually punted.

The Cowboys scored the game-winning points on their next drive.

"The back judge threw his flag for defensive pass interference," Morelli said in a pool report. "We got other information from another official from a different angle that thought the contact was minimal and didn't warrant pass interference. He thought it was face guarding."

Face guarding is a penalty in college football, but not at the pro level. Back judge Lee Dyer threw the flag on Hitchens from the far side of the field. Head linesman Jerry Bergman offered the different -- and ultimately deciding -- view.

Morelli said he should have waited before making the initial announcement.

"The information came and then the officials got together a little bit later after it was given to me, the first information," Morelli said. "It probably would've been smoother if we got together."

Hitchens grabbed Pettigrew's jersey, pushed his shoulder while the ball was in the air, and never looked back at the ball. Should have been stayed a PI penalty. Jerry Bergman made the ref equivalent of the butt fumble.

As bad as that was, the Lions should have been called for running into the kicker earlier in the game, and the calls were abysmal both ways for the most part. The real problem is the Lions played one excellent quarter but didn't do much else.

Next year, they'll be without Suh. Which sucks.

Stadium designs these days just get more an more elaborate. I thought I'd seen it all when they released the artist renderings for the Vikings new stadium.

Now Kroenke is looking to up the ante.

I wonder what becomes of the Eddie Jones Dome when the Rams leave. Demolition?

Build it and they still probably won't come in large enough numbers.

Will every city eventually get fucked by the GFL's quixotic quest to ignore history and say *this* time putting a franchise in LA will work?

I think that's why Goodellspeak cooked up the point about having a team in London. By comparison, it makes moving two teams to Los Angeles look downright brilliant.

Btw isn't Wild Card weekend usually a giant turdfest for the GFL? I was thinking back to the game where Warner and Rodgers had an incredible shootout being the only game that weekend that didn't suck maximum cock. The only game I watched this weekend was the Bengals losing to the Colts and that was a humongous waste of time. I know that Goodellspeak is incapable of learning from anything that will lessen the amount of games even if it improves the quality of the overall product; a concept to which he's completely autistic. But maybe the fans should start staying away in massive numbers; oh who am I kidding, they'll always show up like fucking idiots.

How silly.

The solution is to ADD two more playoff teams, brother!

That is why Goodellspeak is commish, and you aren't. He has a vision! :ugeek:

Somehow I don't see that provoking a statement of "a man of vision" by Tommy Lee Jones in the last scene of Lonesome Dove, followed by a series of heroic flashbacks. More like the Three Stooges with Shemp.
