NFL 2015

Re: NFL 2015
The main point I was trying to make, and not to you was that Bradford was OK given the context.
Re: NFL 2015
Maybe.
It looked like the same old Sam Bradford, to me. I thought he had the potential to be a quality QB, but he simply has shown no progress. To your point, he's never been surrounded by a ton of talent, but he still looks like a Drew Bledsoe-type at best.

Re: NFL 2015
Josh McDaniels is reputed to have one of the best offensive minds in the game and has shined in NE. Has he grown enough from his disastrous experience in Denver to be a successful HC on his second try, much like his mentor?
If the Giants don't hire McAdoo, I think they may be look at McDaniels.

Re: NFL 2015
Somebody will likely give McDaniels another go round, but I sure as hell wouldn't.
Here's the Belichick head coaching tree:
Romeo Crennel
Al Groh
McDaniels
Eric Magini
Nick Saban
Jim Schwartz
Bill O'Brien
I guess the jury is still out on O'Brien, as he currently has the Texans playing above their paygrade.
Aside from that, it's a fairly embarrassing list. And it points to assistants doing well in New England because everything Wild Billy touches turns to gold. And no player or coach seems to succeed once they leave the fold. Though, I guess Welker did OK for a season or two in Denver.

Not a player or coach, but Scott Pioli was an epic failure.Mo Noyz wrote:Somebody will likely give McDaniels another go round, but I sure as hell wouldn't.

Ugh...
Arty Blank certainly learned nothing from Pioli's complete implosion in KC.
I like Pioli, he seems like a really sharp and likable cat. But he has no business running a NFL front office. He and Chip Kelly seem to have similar scouting acumen...

Re: NFL 2015
The loser of the Giants-Eagles game plays the Rams instead of Seattle, a big plus and TB or NO instead of Atlanta, basically neutral as well as picking several slots earlier in the draft. I guess I should root for the Eagles. The Cowboys, with a healthy Romo and a last place schedule, will probably be division favorites.
The Giants led the league in games lost to IR in 2013 and 2014 and are second to the Ravens in 2015. Bad luck of something else? I don't know but I'd get new strength/conditioning coaches and training staff just in case it isn't merely incredibly bad luck.

I was just reading in the paper that they actually did all of that this past offseason and it didn't help at all, obviously. The G Man wrote:The Giants led the league in games lost to IR in 2013 and 2014 and are second to the Ravens in 2015. It's time for Cleveland to let Johnny Foolsgold become another statistic.

There's no doubt in my mind he's using the concussion protocol as a ruse to fuck off and get paid. Because of the GFL's past abuse of having players play hurt, the owners are finally in the position of being bent over by the players. I have zero sympathy for those cocksuckers.
Without hyperbole I've really got nothing
Re: NFL 2015
That still doesn't excuse him for fucking off in a Las Vegas casino last night.
So what was Bowles pregame speech like today? "Don't worry, Pittsburgh will lose"?

What a giant turdfest the AFC is, particularly the J-E-T-S. Maybe KC can at least look like they belong in the playoffs.

Re: NFL 2015
the Jets were never that good, even with their five game winning streak coming into today. they played the weakest schedule in the league.
but yeah, terrible effort today, the really inexplicable thing was Revis giving Watkins a 15 yard cushion all game long, even conceding key third down conversions. if Revis and the coaches are that scared of atkins beating him down, change up the freaking coverages because that one was not working.

Soooo . . . reports that the Browns are set to hire Kelly? Well, then.

I guess I should have added medical staff. http://ultimatenyg.com/2015-articles/de ... art-3.htmljon abbey wrote:I was just reading in the paper that they actually did all of that this past offseason and it didn't help at all, obviously. The G Man wrote:The Giants led the league in games lost to IR in 2013 and 2014 and are second to the Ravens in 2015. While Gordo recalibrates his GPS...
KC looked unstoppable for three and a half quarters, but acted like they preferred to give the game away late in the fourth. Homeritis has broken out here and most Chiefs fans think they're going all the way. I still see no difference between this team, and every other iteration Tater Midwest has coached.
The Jets just looked as though they were uninterested in making the postseason. How do you play so flat in such a huge game?Captain Hate wrote:What a giant turdfest the AFC is, particularly the J-E-T-S. Maybe KC can at least look like they belong in the playoffs.

I don't have an opinion about the Chiefs, not having followed them at all but note they were outgained for the season and were +15 in turnover margin.Mo Noyz wrote:While Gordo recalibrates his GPS...

Re: NFL 2015
I can't bring myself to listen but I imagine the sports talk geeks have sent out for oysters after jacking it continually on the air after hearing this. Btw, the last non-Cleveland AFC North head coach to be fired? Brian Billick.Jason Bivins wrote:Soooo . . . reports that the Browns are set to hire Kelly? Well, then.

Re: NFL 2015
If they really do hire Kelly it will be the finish line of their long, strange trip to idiotic irrelevancy.
The only thing left would be to reanimate the corpse of Artie and have him perform a hostile takeover.
