I have often thought a 2cd reissue of the cassettes and comp tracks is in order for kevin drumm, but then I have often thought of things I have no money for.

yeah. i heard it and was offered a dub, but graciously declined since i couldn't trust myself with such power.

my ideal boxset would be four disc: s/t, second, third, and freedom from cassette. comp tracks added on the end of each disc as bonus shite.

Have y'all heard that band Dirty Old Man River? Drumm plays guitar on their first ep. It's kinda worth listening to, if only to hear him play in a "rock" band (more loping and sludgey though.)

dont forget the spite tape, in my ears this sounds so good it should be a widely availible thing (at least an lp of 500 or more). the begining sounds like tons of layered 'guitar riffs' this was so limited my ex-roomate put it out and I didnt even get a copy but ended up getting one trough alternative methods of operation....

yeah kevin rules my favorite american musician. Is too bad is so hard to get him to do any shows nowadays and that those records have gone out of print or unreleased, definetlly I think they shouldn't have....

it's always been hard to get him to come to NYC, I wanted to build a third day of the first AMPLIFY fest in 2001 in NYC around him, Axel Dorner, Xavier Charles and Martin Tetreault, got all of the others to commit to it and couldn't get him, so I called it off.

i have the pita/drumm thing. i remember it being good but not great. definitely nowhere near either's finest. pita side is made to sound all warped and crackly, but the vinyl is so thick and well-cut its obviously on purpose. kevin's side is there's a track that uses the built-in mic on his laptop as source. i should probably spin it and refresh my memory.

i just picked up the parker/drumm/zerang cd on atavistic this weekend. i really dig the first track, but the rest has yet to do anything for me. it has all the elements of free jazz that made me wary of the genre in the first place (a lot of overly wanky guitar and drum sounds). i just find it odd that this hasn't been mentioned in this thread yet... (maybe it has, i kind of only skimmed through all the parts in the thread with the arguing whether or not drumm is a genius)

i love kevin drumm. at first i thought he was not that great just another noise drone guy but after a few listens i was sold. there not that harsh like everyone says i mean seriously it is good afternoon nap music. his shit is so drony like slow moving lava. +_+

I didn't know KD or any comparable noise music when I had (?) (they may have been burned to disc) mp3s of SHM, and I dug sanding my ears off with it. So it's accessable to newbies of either.

got through this whole release... i still like the first track the most. the middle two tracks are sometimes meandering, but have interesting moments. a bit too jarring to let me focus on specific sounds. the last track is a nice lil acoustic droney thing. i'm not sure how much drumm is in there, but it's pretty good... not as awkward as the previous two tracks.
