Obviously the order isn't going to be set in stone, but it's nice to get SOME sort of idea of which ones are the faves and which ones are the also rans, and it (on any other webboard) is a fun starting point for debate.
if i would make such a list, i would make it from the head, not looking at the cd's/mp3's i have. it would be a much more natural list. so i guess the big favourites would naturally come first. numbers make me feel somewhat uncomfortable
I was going to be a neo-deconstructivist but mom wouldn't let me.

I still don't think I've heard 100 albums worth of being put in a "Top 100 Albums" List. Even 50 is a stretch.

That's kind of sad, because I could do 500 pretty easily. I've never had much trouble falling in love with records, and there's so much out there that floats my boat.

one of the more interesting lists I've read in ages. Anyone who puts both Armand Schaubroeck (though I prefer his 3LP Alot of People Would Like to See Armand Schaubroeck dead) and Jon Wayne's Texas Funeral album on their list has impeccable taste in my opinion.

Thanks a lot, man! I wouldn't say impeccable... I'm sure I like my fair share of crap. Yeah, I dig that other Armand album, only problem was that it's so long, whereas Ratfucker is completely in your face and everyone I play it to pretty much falls in love with it instantly. Also, swapping the record after each side of "A Lot of People" is a pain in the arse - hmm, maybe I should download a copy for the full cinematic experience. :)

Motherfuck a Twin Infinitives, mostly.

I'd rather subject myself to the Butthole Surfers, though if the third option was the Bloor Viaduct well, you know.

I've never heard that Royal Trux album, but there could be room in my top 100 for the Butthole Surfers. The Bloor Viaduct is tempting though.

I bet there would be considerable overlap in my top 100 and in Smith's. But that's mostly because I stalk him.

I'm always weary of folks who randomly slag off the Butthole Surfers as being young bucks who never saw them in their prime (1985-88 ). No man, woman nor child left one of their shows unscathed then but maybe it's just me or the nude dancers, the two drummers, the fireworks or the acid flashbacks.
