i'm not sure if he's really such a bad coach, but (like i said when poch did it) i think speaking about leaving the team, if only to gain political leverage, will cost you in team spirit/the dressing room.
it's always strangely hard for me to remember what players impressed me as a kid. partly that's because we had a shitty b/w tv so most games were between jerseys you couldn't tell apart in the drizzle. partly it's because hindsight gets in the way. partly it's because i never had a team that stayed in the first division for too long (apart from the couple of years as a bayern fan obligatory to any german kid born without family club allegiance). anyway: as i recently was reminded maradona never meant anything to me, now i am vaguely sad at the passing of paolo rossi. italy in 82, that was a team. probably we were in the summer holidays somewhere and had access to state of the art television.
