LP with download $18

For the first time, San Francisco legend Thomas Dimuzio presents an all
Buchla-synthesizer album. Custom algorithmic crossfades of complex sound
synthesis fuel this improvised synergy of mind and machine in real-time, no
overdubs. His Buchla 272e module incorporates a polyphonic FM tuner
introducing chance-factors snatched from live transmissions and steered via
algorithmic mixing through oscillator arrays and envelope generators before
spilling into the ears of blood-pumping audiences huddled in the slanting
five thousand foot shadow of SF's iconic Sutro Tower. Each track is a site
specific improvisation blooming in the dark of two underground venues on
opposite ends of Haight Street just blocks from where Buchla invented the
world's first synthesizer.

"Nothing is more beautiful than [Dimuzio's] acoustic heterogeneity, a
depth of aural perspective provided by antithetical frequencies, irregular
waves and inscrutable halos.” -Massimo Ricci

Irresistibly affable on the outside, terrifying on the inside, Thomas
Dimuzio is a metaphysical tar baby renowned for live performances, film
scores, and studio works spanning more than 20 albums. A genuine innovator
in techniques of live sampling, sound synthesis, signal processing, and
algorithmic mixing he is also among the world's most sought-after mastering
engineers. He has worked professionally to help shape and evolve Avid's
industry-standard Pro Tools hardware and software platform. His musical
collaborators include Chris Cutler, Fred Frith, Wobbly, Joseph Hammer, Dan
Burke (Illusion of Safety), 5UU'S, Arcane Device, Matmos and Alaric. A
spiritual guide of the music community, Thomas never met a bowl he didn't
offer to fill and his “Frequency Modulation Radio” on KPFA has opened
doors for others to find a wider audience through hosted on-air
performances and interviews.

“This is the wizard the land of Oz wished for: boundless,
benemalevolent, shrouded in torrents of sound, daring lions to speak and
machines to feel. Dimuzio sets your straw brains alight to melt your metal
heart while your furry ears crisp and yowl.”

This release was mastered by Thomas Dimuzio separately for vinyl and
digital. The record was pressed on 160gm black vinyl at GottaGroove and
each record includes a download code. Resipiscent is an anti-profit label
