Yes I agree, this one is really bad ass. Have you heard the Jurg Frey/Radu Malfatti release "II"? I think you'd like that one too, it's wicked good imo.

just fantastic. even and especially at this length (6 cds). incredible freedom (which would slowly evaporate during the few months the quartet played together).

pses:

owning (and quite liking) the our man in jazz lp (no bonus tracks) in no way prepared me for the full force of the complete set, there's so much excitement in that they move into territory where things can go wrong, and will go wrong
