If the sample track here is any indication then it's going to be one hell of a ride. Anyone heard of him before? Found this after a friend who got a review copy recommended it to me.
Yeah, he spent a week with me here last year. Great guy. Did his MA (MFA?) at Wesleyan. Lived in Singapore for a year or so and now is back in Germany.

Repress of this, I guess unauthorized, it seems to be trickling out to a few distributors. I'm happy, it's been on the top of my want list for ages.
Thanks for the tip. This and a boot of Pop Surgery (presumably by the same people) arrived here today. Great to finally jetison the mp3 rips.

Just listened to my first purchase of 2011: Buxtehude organ works performed by Rainer Oster (on Arte Nove). Excellent performance, good organ sound. Dirt-cheap from amazon.co.uk too. Very pleased.

Acid Archives, Patrick Lundborg et al's book on obscure American underground recordings 1965-82
http://www.lpcdreissues.com/catalogue/v ... duct=19785
which was the best price in Europe I came across and arrived in 3 days of ordering.
Worth going through the rest of the shop for psychedelic & prog cds too.

Think US residents may be as good going to Forcedexposure or Bomp for that book, but p+p to Europe was heavier than the above Greek place. Great book anyway.

Other than that this week, new 2000Ad weekly, Heroes Revealed book (99c) & Neil Young Le Noise and Broken Bells cd (12Eur for the pair in HMV, enjoying that Broken Bells).
bought a load of stuff over Xmas that I'm gradually working my way through & may list later.

Just got the annoyingly elusive release:

and also Sonic Pleasure's new album (who you may remember plays bricks on the excellent incus record "Limescale") titled Volume 3: Drift in Red Shift

The album features improvised and also some composed tracks of chamber music, one of which is a real 20th Century style gem!! E-mail her at sonicpleasure@googlemail.com
for a copy.

Really? After logging in, everything is as usual (in my case: in German).

Oho Okinawa which Rockadrome reissued but turned out cheaper on Amazon.co.uk marketplace.
Weird, '74 US prog/psych weirdness with scatological lilt and Zappa/Gentle Giant influence.
Listened through the lp in alphabetical order in MP3 form on the band's website. Like what I heard.

Thin Lizzy Jailbreak
Recently remastered under the aegis of guitarist Scott Gorham apparently. Sounds pretty great now, I wasn't familiar with the band much after their Decca Eric Bell era outside of occasionally hearing the better known songs. But this is great.

Henri Pousseur: electronic experimental and microtonal 1953-1999

Among the works on this CD is "Prospection" (1953) for three pianos tuned sixth-tones apart. I read an analysis of this work years ago, and, enjoying music associated with early integral serialism as well as much of the microtonal stuff I heard, I've been very keen on hearing "Prospection" since then - after all it combines both approaches. Pousseur's worklist had the note "unpublished" for this work, but now here it is on CD!

I worked since last October on getting this one.

The Complete works of Anton Webern / P. Boulez
It was too long on my wish list and now I have to admit: These are the best recordings of Webern I heard until now.
