Re: Colour Out Of Space - festival 2009
Just got a weekend pass for this and was wondering if anyone had any advice to offer on where to stay over the weekend?
There are two of us going down and we don't know Brighton well at all. Having said that, we'd prefer somewhere cheap even if the location is less than ideal.
Really looking forward to it, thanks in advance for any tips!

This'll give you a good overview: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&tab=wlNotReallyDamo wrote:Just got a weekend pass for this and was wondering if anyone had any advice to offer on where to stay over the weekend?

Of those the Journeys Brighton is probably closest (http://www.visitjourneys.com), it's about 5 minutes walk down the same street. The Grapevine (http://www.grapevinewebsite.co.uk) is only about 10 minutes away into town and is right by the train station, both seem quite reasonable price wise. I couldn't really comment on any of the others but I reckon you'll be alright...
Enjoy!

Hey, just wanted to say thanks for the tips. My friend ended up booking us into St Christopher's Palace but I'll bear these in mind for future. Cheers!

No worries, that one'll be nice if it's on the seafront and only a 10-15 minute walk away max... nice view from the window on the website!
I'll be going along for a bit tonight, tomorrow and Sunday (but not all of it unfortunately) so if you see a speccy, ginger grumpy looking chap with a red shirt on do say hello!
Enjoy Brighton and the music!
