Simon, my two listens were of the putzing around the house windows open variety. In short, allowing the three urban fields recorded to mingle pleasantly within that environment. There is a significant range of sounds in the mix, plangent and harsh, as well as burbling and steady state. This is a heavy roster of environmental recordists, I expect closer litens will reveal much.
It is akin to the excellent Warburton "walking through..." stuff.

that's a good record, although I'm a much bigger fan of the 'rock' side of Futura. fantastic, probably still underappreciated label.

Well, considering the guy spent years locked up in the studio, the music's from the 60's

well, it's been a while since I've spent time with this stuff, but I believe this would be my recommended list, in rough order of preference:

Jean Guérin-Tacet
Red Noise-Sarcelles-Lochères
Fille Qui Mousse-Se taire pour une femme trop belle
Semool-Essais
Jacques Berrocal-Musiq Musik

and the Horde Catalytique pour la Fin and Mahogany Brain (With Junk Saucepan) are worth checking out also, although I think I wasn't as into those.
