Listening now on myspace - nice stuff. Has he got any recordings out?Yii wrote:satoshi kanda - 20080507
awesome!
I'm listening to the recordings on his Myspace as well, it reminds me a little of the Akiyama / Ng, "Oimacta", that came out a while ago on IMJ. Good stuff.Yii wrote:i just sent out an email about the same question to satoshi-san.
i'm waiting for a reply.
part 1 of disc 2 is strong, although way outside the wandelweiser sound. more like kick-ass acid drone than anything else.joseghast wrote:Did you listen to CD2?skrobek wrote:

The CD1 is great, but I didn't like CD2 very much.

agreed, very strong.Richard Pinnell wrote:

This is great.

Found this on LP after years of looking and hype, kind of disappointing, not bad but not mind-blowingly great - Sounds like a mediocre early 60s Coltrane session.
For my son, listened to this twice this weekend.
Took me years to find this LP, which has the same feel as the earlier African Marketplace, pure township vibe. I listened to African Marketplace in Guinea on a cassette more than any recording I had in the Peace Corps.

this is really good.surfer wrote:
