I thought it was really great music because the players convey the excitement of creating something interesting, but they have a incredible playfulness. There are not many sounds compared to other records, but each sound is ALIVE, so I don't get that feeling of entropy I get with many "reductionist" works.
Yeah, I like this thought.
and, Burkhard STANGL-Taku UNAMI 'I was', is a great album, so, i guess i need to check the other 3 in your list.

how is it ?
wasn't really into it from the start. I'm enjoying Onda's walkman sounds as always, but Licht a little less. they do cover quite some territory together though, and they seem to play well off each other. but I don't care much for screechy electric guitar in this kind of music. may get into it more on subsequent listens.
second time around it made a much better impression... guess I shouldn't give stuff like this a first spin when I have to concentrate on other stuff.

I think the Stangl / Unami is by far the best of these four.

first track is really impressive, i like those voices.
didn't check her previous collaboration with hayward on some pieces , but this encounter will surely prompt it.

Where can I get this? I sent an e-mail to Annette but didn't receive any answer.

Mauricio Kagel "Die Erschöpfung der Welt" (1976 - 1977) from an old reel to reel recording. Beautiful passages.

The new Portishead-CD.

I commented not particularly favorable on that one, but it eventually turned out there are a few spots I can't get out of my head. Portishead really should have released an ep only with the 4 or 5 tracks I like.

Anyway, the closing moments of the CD to me sound like the intro to Zappa's "Who are the Brain Police" played backwards.

Experimental music should be something that suggests a way of organizing your thinking, your attitude toward the world, which suggests that the world could be different.
