Public Image Limited two months later (23-Feb 1979, Manchester) - much more focussed and rather energetic in parts.

There's this one Sex Pistols-song on the set list again, but this time Lydon interupts the performance and asks to "skip this one".

(4 more newly arrived PiL-gigs from 80-82 to go through... maybe I'll listen through all of them chronologically this afternoon

Yeah, there are additional graphics inside the sleeve, which you cannot open up, only peek into.

The Colley/Lescalleet Live At Extrapool is among my favorite drone pieces.

I have never been dissapointed with an Intransitive release, one of my favorite modern labels - This is a great disc. Other faves of mine are the brendan murray ?wonders never cease" and jason lescalleet / nmperign ?love me two times? cds.

Agreed I still listen to the three of those I have quite often, Colley/Lescalleet, Kahn/Roden and Mathieu/Ehlers.

Then, half-way through, its sameness started to get to me, so I put this on...

...and I noticed three songs had boy in the title.

I still think Colour By Numbers was a much stronger album.

Toshimaru Nakamura/English One Day (Erstwhile Records)

I'm I the only one that has this? I haven't really seen any discussion on it. Admittedly a bit early, I still need a few more listens myself before I have anything substantive to say, but I've not even seen it much in this thread. Let me say to anyone on the fence, that I have listened to it enough times (around 1/2 dozen I'd say) to wholeheartedly recommend it. Great work by all involved, without a doubt my favorite thing with Toshimaru Nakamura on it in a while and English seems better then ever, maturing and deepening. Anyway I'll try to say more in a while, but this to me is the best thing in this area I've heard this year.

No, I have a copy but haven't had enough time to be able to process it enough to comment. Only one listen so far.

First impression was of a great album, but it threw me a little as it was different, perhaps using a more narrow pallete of sound to previous English discs and certainly than Joe's wonderful duo with Kevin Parks.

One thing I will say this early on is that the packaging throughout is great, the best I've seen on an Erstwhile in some time.
