Maybe they switched to 4-3 and then back to 3-4. Their 2015 depth chart shows 3-4.
Scott, I think that Peyton definitely showed signs of age related decline in the second half of the season. That was balance by the emerging run game so Denver still has a very good offense. Do you have any long term opinion on Osweiler?

Re: NFL 2014
Yes, Denver can run the football and Indianapolis cannot run the football.

Re: NFL 2014
It's certainly troubling.
When I noted it before, it came earlier in the season.
This year his arm has gradually decreased. Not good. Especially going into the cold weather games he's about to face.
We can all agree, getting old sucks...

Goodell lied and got away with it. Not that any of this is surprising.

Schau, have you seen this yet?

Slightly longer walk from the Four Seasons (maybe a minute more), but still an excellent location. Though, I wish they'd turn it slightly so that you'd have a better view of downtown.
But, if it keeps the Rams in town, I'm all for it.

Is it true Goodellspeak was wearing a Sawx cap on the sidelines in New England? If so, what a fucking goof.
Without hyperbole I've really got nothing

Been watching this game for 36 years, and that sequence to end the first half might be the most bizarre one I've ever seen.
Re: NFL 2014
how does the offensive line let Chancellor vault them twice in a row? how do they not trip him the second time? too bad he didn't try it a third time, crazy day of football so far.Mo Noyz wrote:Been watching this game for 36 years, and that sequence to end the first half might be the most bizarre one I've ever seen.
Re: NFL 2014
Not even sure how it's legal. They outlawed jumping more than a decade ago (though, I guess the loophole there is that you couldn't use the player in front of you to boost), and they made it illegal years ago to line up over the center, and he was jumping over the center.
That said, I'm not sure how they trip him without a false start because the center couldn't get that high that fast after snapping the ball. I'd be willing to bet that will be reviewed in the offseason. Without that open gap over the center he'd never be able to make that leap. Unintended consequences...

Oh, and he started to ty it the third time, but they changed the snap count.
Re: NFL 2014
Ok, so let's get some questions out of the way this morning.
1. Where does this Seahawks defense rank historically, IYO? I'm ready to move them to second all time behind the '86 Bears. Any thoughts to the contrary? With the season they've had, and how they're really playing better now than they did at any given point last year, I think they have to be moved ahead of the '00 Ravens.
2. Who are your five Hall Of Famers?
I'll save Cappz some wear and tear on his fingers and post his for him.
1. HOF Kurt Warner
2. HOF Kurt Warner
3. HOF Kurt Warner
4. HOF Kurt Warner
5. HOF Kurt Warner
Extra Special MVP Lifetime Achievement In Excellence Award - HOF Kurt Warner
My list is as follows.
1. Kurt Warner
2. Orlando Pace
3. Don Coryell
4. Kevin Greene
5. Marvin Harrison
It's a tough group to choose from. I really want to see Anderson get in. Brown should be in, but I doubt he'll make it any time soon. Shields will get in within the next couple of years, I'd think. Seau as well.

Re: NFL 2014
If the reports of him going to Buffalo are true, that might make Rex Ryan the biggest dumbass in NFL history.
Well, OK. There's stll Ryan Leaf and Lawrence Philips, but Rex actually had the talent to succeed...

Re: NFL 2014
That's a good list, Scotty. This year's nominees are much better than usual imo.
I'm not sure what your thinking is on Rex though. The Jets owner is just a monumental dumbass, worse than Snyder imo. I would think in Buffalo he'd have a lot better time.

Re: NFL 2014
Seattle should get two major tests in their next two games, GB or DAL, then NE/DEN/IND, so no reason to talk about their place in history before we see how those play out. didn't they lose a starting corner yesterday?
Re: NFL 2014
My comment after watching the games yesterday.
Cris Collingsworth is the best NFL player turn analyst in football history and the Michaels/Collingsworth team is the best active duo by far. If I'm watching via DVR, I'll try not to FF between plays because I'm likely to learn something from Collingsworth about the previous play.

My thinking is he's going from one completely inept offense that he couldn't fix to another in just as bad of shape. I just don't see it ending well.
Gordo, I agreed with you up until yesterday when Collingsworth said that Goodellspeak is a man of high integrity. Serious, serious demerits had to be given there.

Playing in a pass happy era where the league has done everything they can to hamstring the defense? I'll gladly put them up there no matter what happens in their next game or two.
Never before have I seen a defensive unit this fast, and hard hitting. It's usually one or the other, but not both.
Re: NFL 2014
I must have missed that. Serious demerit, agreed. I will qualify my statement to discussion of the action on the field and personnel of the teams.Mo Noyz wrote:Captain Hate wrote:That's a good list, Scotty. This year's nominees are much better than usual imo.

Re: NFL 2014
Will Hill is very good and a great pick up by Ozzie after the Giants lost patience with his testing positive/getting suspended predilection. Ladarius Webb hasn't played as well as he did before he got hurt in 2012 and the other guys came off the scrap heap to replace injured players. Jimmy Smith, currently on IR, is a star.walto wrote:Have I mentioned that I hate the Baltimore secondary?
