I was bummed when I got home from my Framingham gig last night to find out the last 8(?) Thurs. games will only by on the NFL network.
NFL Network was in 62% of all households that have at least one TV set, per survey published in June of last year.

Does your provider not carry it or just require a higher cost cable package than you have?
Higher cost package.

3 turnovers forced by the Jets in their first 9 games combined (on pace to shatter the alltime league record), 4 against PIT in the first 2 1/2 quarters today.

That Jets/Stoolers game was brutal to watch.

Carson Palmer looks like he damaged his ACL. Fuck me.

I thought the other NY team game was tough to watch. Did Seattle reach the 1 mile mark of yards on the ground?

NBC showed a stat that only five players on the Packers have played for another team. In this age that's borderline unpossible.

Somebody here (Scotty maybe?) calmly assured me that early season estimations of their suckitude were absolutely justified and that the worshipers--especially the local ones--were sending their honorifics to false gods.

Can I sue?

BTW, I'm curious. Has Indy actually been able either to run the ball or stop the run in other games they've played this year? They seemed so horrible on both sides of the run game last night.

Aaron Rodgers -MVP and OPOY
J.J. Watt-DPOY

Rodgers is averaging 8.69 yds/att, 25 TD, 3 Int, 56.5% completion percentage on passes 20+ in the air (only 23 attempts).

Eli had his worst game of the year but who can blame him? Pugh got hurt after eight plays and was replaced by Charles Brown who was dreadful. RT Brown and RG John Jerry, former bro of Richie Incognito allowed 14 hurries, two hits and two sacks. The two high OL picks of the Giants from the last two years, Pugh and Weston Richburg are out with injuries.

JJ Watt was incredible against the Browns yesterday. The fans were all over him after his second roughing the kicker penalty and I was thinking "STFU, the last thing you want to do is get him more motivated".

Don't despair Hornster; it's not like we haven't seen the Patriots look great through the regular season before only to go strangely conservative in the post season and lose to a Sanchez or Flacco.

Funny how in two weeks, Denver has slipped from beings heads and shoulders above everybody to just another beatable good team whereas NE and GB look like the best in the league.

That's part of what I was referring to a while back when I talked about how a strange dynamic exists over the course of a 16 game season with one bye week. Peaking early isn't a good thing. Right now Seattle looks oddly vulnerable but I'll bet they're in good shape for the playoffs.

The Browns were oddly flat yesterday and the Texans were clearly the more motivated team. I'm wondering if having an emotional win on a Thursday night game ends up being a negative to a team for the following Sunday. The Bengals, who lost badly in the Thursday game, looked revved up yesterday, although it could be that New Orleans just isn't very good this season. The Browns have lost a lot of linemen on both sides of the ball and I think their thinness will probably be a huge hurdle to overcome even with the return of Josh Gordon.

they need to make the playoffs first, their remaining schedule is BRUTAL. the next five games they have SF and ARI twice each plus @PHI before closing with a home game against STL. they're a game out of the playoffs currently, it's far from certain they even get in.

Wow, that is more of a gauntlet than I thought. Since I don't like the team, chances are they'll prevail somehow.

I hope Tim Brown gets in. Maybe his numbers aren't flashy enough.
