NBA 2019-2020 Regular Season
Kryie was spectacular in a one point OT defeat last night, 50 points, zero turnovers. On the game's final possession he went iso, fell, got up and still had a good look but missed the shot. The Nets bench was awful and Jarrett Allen missed two free throws in the last half minute of regulation.
Re: NBA 2019-2020 Regular Season
'Kryie' almost certainly unintentional but funny anyway.

Walto, did you see the game FVV had last night? He's an UFA at the end of the season.

No, I won't be in NBA mode for awhile. What did he do?

34 points on 21 possessions. In game two he scored eight points in 12 possessions. He starts with Lowry in the backcourt.walto wrote:No, I won't be in NBA mode for awhile. What did he do?

Re: NBA 2019-2020 Regular Season
The first half of last night's game against the Spurs was competitive and watchable, although I knew more Spurs players than Dubs. The new arena is still waiting for its first win. But this ain't bad. Bad was Todd Fuller getting drafted before Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash, Peja Stojaković, and Jermaine O'Neal. Dray got hurt last night, team on the floor for the next game could average in the low 20s.

Nine available players, three rookies starting, first win in the new arena.
Happy birthday to Eric Paschall, 41st pick in the draft. -- 34 pts, 13 boards. Last Warrior rookie with those numbers -- Chris Webber. Paschall had 25 pts the previous game, tonight was his first start.
Tom Tolbert doing color on radio, excellent, not sure what Jim Barnett's status is.

Re: NBA 2019-2020 Regular Season
Curry now likely out for the season, the broken non-shooting hand was worse than they initially thought.
Russell's line against the TWolves (52/9/5) was the gaudiest for a Warriors since Rick Barry (55/9/9, 1978).
Nobody knows if Curry and Russell could, or will, play together.

Can anyone think of two back to back leaps in output like Siakam is having?

Dubs have league minimum of 8 players available, minus their top five players, lose by almost 50 to the Mavs after beating the Grizzlies. Entertaining young group, though.

researched this for a few minutes, Antetokounmpo's 2nd through 4th seasons, 2014-15 through 16-17, are more impressive, 1.6 to 3.2 to 6.9 VORP.Captain Hate wrote:Can anyone think of two back to back leaps in output like Siakam is having?
Siakam's are 1.7 to 3.5 the previous two years, but this year his shooting percentage is way down despite his scoring being up, so he is on track for around 3-4 VORP as of now.

Re: NBA 2019-2020 Regular Season
Mean-spirited article on "How the Warriors Grifted Their Fans Silicon Valley Style," mixing some legitimate complaints about the new arena with some odd assumptions about Lacob's motives and the current team on the floor:
https://www.thedailybeast.com/how-the-g ... lley-style
The team on the floor, eight players, mounted a stirring comeback in Utah last night, falling just short in the last minute. Obviously this team is going nowhere until they get Steph, Klay, DLo, Draymond and Looney back, but they're going to have a stronger bench than people suspect when they do return to full strength.

Re: NBA 2019-2020 Regular Season
I haven't seen him play yet this year, but he should have been pretty embarrassed about how badly Embiid dominated him when they were on the floor at the same time during last year's playoffs. Siakim couldn't do a single thing. Maybe that motivated him during the off-season.jon abbey wrote:researched this for a few minutes, Antetokounmpo's 2nd through 4th seasons, 2014-15 through 16-17, are more impressive, 1.6 to 3.2 to 6.9 VORP.Captain Hate wrote:Can anyone think of two back to back leaps in output like Siakam is having?

Spurs have played a league record 4 consecutive overtime games (including a double OT).

ONE free throw for Harden tonight as Dubs notch the biggest NBA upset on Christmas in 30 years. My son-in-law was at the new arena for the Pelican game, sounds awesome, fan friendly, want to go.

When Harden's shots aren't falling the whole team seems to fall apart, except for Westbrook.

Lillard is averaging 48.8 over the past six games!
