I have no idea why i calling him Justin ;)

kind of what I thought as I think he felt Coach K wasn't going to feature him - he is a hard to guy to plug into a system.

i am looking forward to see if he can improve on his weaknesses and show that he can be even better than he already is.

No reason he shoots as badly from the line as he does and if he improves his outside shot even slightly he is still better than those 2 excellent PG's.

fwiw I think Rose and Rondo are both more effective than Chris Paul as Paul is still a scorer first

Chris Paul is the best point guard in the league. He's got it all. assists, steals, 3's, FT, jumpers, everything. He has absolutely no holes in his game.

He's as good a passer as Rondo, and Rose never passes....

Rose may take bad shots and "never pass"--but he still has more assists and a better FG% than Felton--a guy you want on your fantasy team. ;)

yes, Derrick Rose is indeed better than Raymond Felton. no one in their right mind would argue otherwise. Felton is however a nice upgrade on Duhon, their starter for the last two years, which was my point.

Paul might be that guy Bo - but maybe he dominates the ball too much - I don't think he is a good as Kidd was in his prime - and Rondo has a chance to be that good if he can learn to shoot just a little bit - and Kidd never really learned to shoot until a few years ago where he got a set shot 3 point shot kinda like Magic did.

It will be nice to see Paul healthy this year but I don't know what kind of team he will have aorund him - I think the 3 old guys on the C's have at least might play well every 2-3 games - I think Allen will have quite few more off days - and he had many of them last year - and I think Garnett might be a bit healthier at the beginning so if they lower hi minutes - he might be effective later in the year/in the playoffs. I think Pierce will still be a tough guard and an effective player for 2-3 more years.

My concern is that they think Jermaine O'Neal will add anything of value and that anything other than 15-20 minutes of Shaq against certain match-ups will be beneficial.

damn - they need Big Baby to get in real shape and stay healthy and learn how to grow 4 inches :o

as with many of us here - looking for catastrophic limb injuries in South Florida to multiple players

I would take Rose over Felton in my fantasy league. It's a no brainer.

(I'm actually in 3 very competitive fantasy leagues)

AND, Felton over Duhon.....although going into the season last year Duhon was ranked a bit higher I think because of assists and steals...

It's going to be hard for those bigs to all fit into a rotation, but for now I see O'Neil as the odd man out. Shaq should get 20 min a game, and Garnett should play less until the playoffs....They did a great job at saving their best for the playoff run last year, and I expect them to do that again.

as for Paul, I'm not saying Rondo isn't a stud, but honestly Chris Paul is one of the best basketball players I've ever seen, period. When you see him up close he really stands out. He's so good and smooth, that often it looks effortless. He's underrated currently because of last year's injury year, and the fact that he has no supporting cast.

He is, in my opinion in the top five players in the league I would rank them....Lebron, Durant, Paul, and Kobe and Wade tied for 4th.

Imagine if Rondo had a devistating pull up jumper, 3 pointer, and had everything he still has......that's Paul. He's that good. And, I honestly think Rondo, Rose, and Paul are the quickest guards in the league, so It's pretty close.

At this point I would take a couple of point guards ahead of Rose if I were a GM. Stephen Curry, Tyreke Evans, maybe John Wall.....

Russell Westbrook and the Durantula are the most exciting duo in the league. Look for Westbrook to prove that last year was no fluke. I'm amazed at how much better a player he has become since he was at UCLA. He always had the athleticism, now he plays smarter and is developing a shot.

Yep, Westbrook's a stud. Still, one of my favorite things ever was watching Andre Miller abuse him last year. Kid still has a lot to learn...

I like Brandon Jennings, too.

A tad scattershot, but exciting. He needs Bogut back strong.

he's very talented and still superyoung, but his shot was awful the last five months last year. shooting percentage by month:

October: .516 (just 2 games)
November: .420
December: .376
January: .324
February: .307
March: .385
April: .365

I do like him a lot too, just saying. I still can't believe that Donnie Walsh took Jordan Hill and not a PG in that draft (Jennings, Lawson, Collison still on the board, maybe even more).

He's pretty sweet no doubt, but his FG% is still pretty suspect.

I think defenders starting realizing you have to make him go to his right. I'll be curious to see if he can this year.

Jennings' overall FG% doesn't tell the whole story of his inefficiency. His eFG% on inside shots was 42% and one of every six inside shots was blocked. That's awful.

Saw most of the second half of Boston--Toronto last night. Didn't see any starters play. Heinsohn is high on Erden and Lasme, but he doesn't like Wafer (or any of the calls).

I'm not sure I can stand another year.

Another year of listening to Heinsohn or watching the Celtics? The former would certainly drive me up the wall.

Heinsohn. Why the hell won't he retire already?

Speaking of point guards.....Stephen Curry is going in the 1st round of all the fantasy drafts I've seen so far. Usually he's right around 7-9.

It usually goes:

Durant, Lebron, Paul, at 1-3. Then some combination of Kobe, Wade, Howard, Deron Williams, Stephen Curry, and Dirk. Then Pau and Amare....

Rondo and Billups are usually second rounders.

So, by fantasy rankings the PG's would be:

1. Chris Paul
2. Stephen Curry
3. Deron Williams
4. Billups
5. Rondo.

I think Rondo is a little lower because of the lack of 3's, horrible FT%, and the fact that he's not as consistent because of all the talent on Boston. He doesn't get the maximum amounts of minutes either from what I can tell.
