Lazy Generalisations - Massimo Magee (Leerraum[])

Post by Charon »

Out now for FREE STREAMING in full and in a limited, signed edition of one copy is 'Lazy Generalisations', my newest release, courtesy of the amazing folks at Leerraum [ ]!

It's a relatively lengthy, heavy improvisation for no-input mixer, inspired by Eddie Prevost's patient and disciplined interrogation of material and Keith Rowe's private notes for his piece 'The Room', which I am greatly indebted to him for allowing me to read.

I'm enjoying this enormously! Thanks for sharing it! :) Would you be able. or even prepared, to elaborate on the creative process that went into the making of it? Please?

Thanks! I'm glad you're enjoying it. As far as conception, apart from the Prévost and Rowe influence I mentioned, it was also influenced by Adam Curtis' documentary on the history of the conflict in Afghanistan called 'Bitter Lake', which resonated with Keith's invocation of 'basic violence' and 'horror' in the notes mentioned above.

Thanks for your reply! :-) I'm not sure I'm any clearer, but the documentary also looks interesting. Food for ears and thought. :-)
