mine arrived yesterday, heard the lamb/eubanks once, very different from the compositions they presented at our concert here and in a number of other u.s./canadian cities; the crow concert was very quiet works for viola, oscillators and voice, and soprano sax, location recordings and a homemade metal thing that whirred and shimmed percussively. this release is highly detailed white noise.
lafkas, once a minneapolis native whom i heard often between 2000 - 2007 or so, selected, i think, the last performance from a series of performances in which he worked with a fairly large ensemble in n.y.c. if i can get him here in 2013, i will, he's a restless force.
