Certain musicians names can speak for themselves, before even a note of music has been played. Their reputations proceed them, although of course there will also be those ignorant of both reputation and name. David Maranha - solo or with Osso Exotico - explores the territories opened up half a century ago by John Cale and Tony Conrad. Z'ev is the grandmaster of industrial/tribal percussion. The fusion they create together is a magma of movement and stasis before which only legless cripples will remain motionless. (J. Noetinger/Metamkine)
Il est vrai que parfois certains noms de musiciens parlent à eux seuls de la musique que l'on s'apprête à écouter. Reste ceux et celles qui ignorent ces noms. David Maranha en solo ou avec Osso Exotico explore des territoires ouverts il y a un demi-siècle par John Cale et Tony Conrad. Z'ev est le grand maître d'une percussion tribale aux consonances industrielles. Ensemble ils fabriquent un magma en fusion, statique et mouvementé à la fois !
