Bhob Rainey is a saxophonist (specializing in the soprano saxophone),
composer, and programmer. He works almost exclusively in the area of
free improvisation, utilizing extended techniques, multiphonics,
synthetic and environmental sounds. He has appeared as a solo artist,
one-half of nmperign (or one-third of nmperign/Jason Lescalleet), a
member and director of The BSC, and as a collaborator in many
improvisational and compositional projects. Occasionally, he writes
and performs more traditional music, most recently evidenced by his
collaboration with Damon and Naomi. He has also contributed a number
of extensions to the open-source synthesis software, SuperCollider.

We (Rainey/Allport/Narayan) played Seattle on Friday and Saturday. Great sets with Gust Burns, Tyler Wilcox, Mark Collins, and Wilson Shook. Great to see Robert (Hatta) in the "crowd."
