Forgot to announce this here earlier, but there are still 10 days left of the Another Timbre sale (which is a rare event).
33% off just about everything (even the new discs are starting out at a reduced price), and a special offer of 10 discs for £50. More details at the label website: http://www.anothertimbre.com/index.html
The new discs are:
at100 'Seaside' John Tilbury | Dirar Kalash | John Lely | Christian Wolff
An album featuring first recordings of John Tilbury playing clavichord, recorded on his own instrument at his house in Deal, Kent. The CD combines improvised trios for the unique combination of clavichord, oud (played by the young Palestinian artist/musician Dirar Kalash) and John Lely's distinctive low-key electronics. There are also compositions by Christian Wolff (two of his 'Tilbury' pieces arranged for clavichord by John Tilbury) and two new compositions by John Lely.

at101 'clarinet (and piano)' - Dante Boon & Jurg Frey
Three works for Jurg Frey's clarinet, composed by the Amsterdam-based Wandelweiser composer/pianist Dante Boon, who accompanies Jurg on two of the pieces. This is the first CD dedicated exclusively to the music of Dante Boon, one of the most under-rated (and youngest) composers in the Wandelweiser group.

at102 'Cantilena' by Giuliano d'Angiolini
Six chamber works by the Paris-based Italian composer Giuliano d'Angiolini. Following on from his acclaimed album 'Simmetrie di Ritorno' on Edition RZ, 'Cantilena' presents more examples of Giuliano's particular use of indeterminate elements in a series of exquisite compositions. "We are working in the shadows, like the monks of the middle ages."

at103 'Appalachian Anatolia' by d'incise, played by Cristian Alvear
An extended composition for solo 'modified guitar', composed by the young Swiss composer d'incise, and played by the Chilean guitarist Cristian Alvear, whose recording of Jurg Frey's complete guitar music was a highlight of the label's year. d'incise aimed for music "at the confluence of sound, melody and rhythm. Something quiet but somehow driven by a pulse, existing somewhere between the electroacoustic and the tonal conceptions of music."

at104 'Resonators' - George Cremaschi, Irene Kepl & Petr Vrba
Four pieces from a residency in the Czech Republic by the trio of George Cremaschi (double bass & electronics), Irene Kepl (violin & electronics) and Petr Vrba (trumpet, clarinet & electronics). "We're concerned with using the acoustics of the resonant spaces we seek out as a sort of additional member of the group, composing with this interaction particularly in mind." Acoustic instruments and feedback devices combined in old stone spaces, such as the courtyard of a monastery, creating a rich multi-layered music akin to a sound installation.

Re: Another Timbre November Sale + New Releases
Just bumping this because the sale has just two days to go. We've sold over 1500 discs so far, which is great and goes a long way to securing the label's future for the next couple of years. Thanks to anyone who's ordered.
Also the first review of one of the new releases: The Guardian on the d'Angiolini CD, and it's a great review: https://www.theguardian.com/music/2016/ ... pen-spaces
