Jason Soliday: Nonagon Knives (CIPCD027) out now...

Post by sepulveda disaster »

debut pro-pressed CD from Chicago experimental stalwart Jason Soliday.
plenty of folks, especially in the midwest and through the rust belt to the east coast, have seen Soliday's work live over the past several years, and people from all over the US (and worldwide, actually) have performed at enemy, the venue Soliday runs in Chicago.
Soliday has been divining audio for as long as I’ve known him, which is cresting a baker’s dozen of years. In addition to a diversity of projects ranging from cracked electronics (gunshop) to hacked audio and video (I love presets) to numerous collaborative work with a vast array of audio and visual co-conspirators, Soliday’s solo work--and especially that of the last four or so year for me--has really honed itself into a force to be reckoned with. His precision quick cuts, deft use of the stereo (and frequency) field, and sense of timing and pacing create a sonic whirlpool that encompasses the audio spectrum, from cantankerous bass to challenge your speakers to chattering electronic skitter that will pierce your skull.

discs are $10 US / $15 ppd rest of world; PM for paypal info.
