60 second reverb pedal?

i'm looking for pedal with a reverb up to 60 seconds... does such a thing exist?

if you want a hardware device that will do this, I think you may have to "roll your own" with a Nord Micro Modular. (They're like $300 on eBay)

(a simple reverb is usually 4+ short delays, in series with bandpass filters, all in parallel.)

While being a huge fan of the Nord Micro Modular (no better way to learn the fundamentals of synthesis IMO) it's primary weakness is it's lack of memory. Echo and Reverb effects are basically all memory hungry (and fairly hard on the DSPs as well). You can setup reverbs but with a maximum time of 26 seconds. With some very clever patch longer delays and reverbs can be set up but they are very lo-res and probably would need a full modular for the additional DSP. The excellent online Nord Modular Book Chapter 11. covers these issues quite thoroughly with full patches for all the examples.

One can use the audio delay line modules of the Nord Modular to create echoes and reverb. This is the obvious strategy, but one must remember that the delay line module's maximum delay time is quite short, only 2.65 msec. You can only string 10 of them together without exceeding the Nord Modular's memory limits. Thus it would seem that only a 26.5 msec delayline could be made, much too short for a useable echo effect. This short time can be used to make a reverb effect, albeit one which models being in a very small room.

The new Nord Modular, the G2 solves these issues with a lot more memory. Now that they have made an OS X interface I can fully endorse the product. Not that I've gotten one myself, my Micro is still serving me fine.

(i guess i was assuming that if somebody wanted a super-mega-long reverb, that they wouldnt care if the quality was far from pristine...i could certainly be wrong though)
